Justice Speaks
Execution Methods Updates and Justice 360 Client Stories (Recording)
In the first half of our presentation, Lindsey Vann and Hannah Freedman discuss the legislative challenges to execution methods in South Carolina and Justice 360’s lawsuit challenging electrocution and firing squad as unconstitutional punishments. They discuss key points of the trial, break down the judge’s ruling, and discuss what the future may hold for execution methods litigation.
In the second half of our presentation, Allison Franz, Rosalind Major, and Brendan Van Winkle are joined by three prior Justice 360 clients: Rusty Cain, Tony Enriquez, and Raymond Patterson. They discuss how Justice 360’s representation shaped their cases and lives. In addition, they answer many important questions about the prison and parole systems in South Carolina and offer their thoughts on reformation.
