The House Judiciary Committee Schedules Hearing on Bill H. 3755

February 19, 2021 by Cierra Negron-Saullo

February 19, 2021 – The House Judiciary Committee scheduled its hearing on bill H. 3755 for Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at 2:30 p.m.

H. 3755 proposes to make electrocution the only method for carrying out an execution in South Carolina if the director of the Department of Corrections (SCDC) certifies lethal injection is not “available” at the time a condemned individual must select an execution method.
We encourage you to reach out to the members of the House Judiciary Committee and let them know how you feel about H. 3755.
